Zune 80 GB
I finally made the jump from iPod to Zune. I’ve been hesitant about this change for some time now but finally decided to take the plunge with the live search cashback deal going on with Microsoft and Fleabay.
I definitely do not need a iPod Touch or whatever to look cool. I personally think those are a big waste of money if you have a data phone (which lots of people have these days). I also needed a 80GB harddrive because I was nearing capacity with my 60GB iPod Video.
When I got the Zune today in the mail, I was extremely impressed with the packaging and the new earphones.

The box that the Zune came in looked really good. I thought it was actally more innovative than what my iPod came in, but then again I bought about 3 years ago.

After you slip the outside box off, you flip open a front panel and get the first glimpse of your Zune.

It comes with earbuds that look like it has a ‘string’ wiring appearance. It also comes with a data cable that has lego-looking pieces as the end caps.

Here is what my Zune looks like when I first started it up. I am extremely happy with this so far. I am currently sync-ing all 9000+ of my songs. Then I’ll have to go through and see what kind of pictures and videos I want to put on here as well.
I’ve also been checking out the Zune software and read online that there are lots of complaints with it. As far as editing the song info and using it with WMP… the Zune software seems to suck compared to iTunes. (I’ve been using WMP a lot recently instead of iTunes). But the complaint is a fairly small issue with me because I buy most of the songs through CD because I like the actual album and when I do download the songs off whatever online thing… I get the legit versions so they already have all the info embedded into the file.
I can’t wait to test the sync-ing capabilities with my xbox 360 =)
Until next time.. cheers.
